I’m reading mail on the command line with notmuch and less(1). Its glorious. grep(1) and less(1) are your friends.

It’s incredible how much cruft is in the typical mail message today. 100 lines of spam headers. MIME multi-part stuff. HTML everywhere. Encoded attachments. Long chains of replies copied in every reply.

But it’s text. No UI. No mouse. No graphics. Just text.
